George has over 25 years of legal experience in bankruptcy law, commercial issues, real estate, corporate law, tax law, and insolvency. Prior to opening Roumeliotis Law Group, P.C., George worked as an associate with the Springfield, Massachusetts bankruptcy firm of Hendel & Collins from 1993 through 1999, and later as a partner from 1999 to 2011.
He has represented both individuals and businesses in financial distress during informal settings (such as negotiating settlements with creditors and winding down businesses), and in formal proceedings under Chapters 7, 11 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.
Furthermore, George serves as one of only five Chapter 7 Trustees for the Department of Justice’s United States Trustee Program in the District of Connecticut, a position he has held since 2011. The insight gained from this position is extremely valuable in representing clients in their own bankruptcy cases.
George is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts in Massachusetts and Connecticut, and is fluent in Greek, with a working knowledge of French as well.
